    Mother's Day protest fueled by locked Yuba City temple

    Acrimony over the treatment of a Hindu icon in Yuba City escalated Sunday morning when 50 people arrived at the Sri Narayan Hindu Temple on Franklin Road and protested that the temple had been locked shut.

    Sushil Satija, 60, said his group had planned to celebrate Mother's Day at the temple with worship to a Hindu mother goddess.
